Readying: Not Quite There…

I know I’ve been absent for about 2 weeks now, but being a perfectionist can literally drive you nuts…aint that right Charles..ha No seriously though I’m still readying Not Quite There for you guys as I want everything to fall into place accordingly. In the coming week Ryan and I are about to shoot some off the wall visuals for the project, I’ll be releasing another single, and then it’ll be time for the NQT to iPod transfer. So bare with me a little longer guys and as I’m sure you already know it’ll be worth it. Ohhhh and this will probably be that LAST entry on the LetsChangeUs v1.0. The site is getting a total facelift in light of the new project along with new features like HQ photos, HD video entries, and a forum for you guys. So get ready…

This Should’ve Been Blogged Weeks Ago…

So a lot of which your about to read and check out should’ve been posted weeks ago, but things have been ridiculous these last few weeks. I’ve had a few family deaths and just the daily so and so. However I’m back like a spinal chord, so the image you see above is of my homie Gerald Walker’s mixtape I Remember When This All Meant Something. As if the artwork doesn’t say it all the mixtape has been getting mad love on the blogs and shows no sign of slowing down. Of course I’m featured on the project alongside Add-2, Slot-A, and Mr.Robotic. Download Gerald’s tape [HERE] you won’t be disappointed!

Gerald Walker – Not At All Ft. Bryant Stewart

Mannnn my brother in Force Vandalyzm, done messed around and dropped Megatron Majorz Redux on yall monkey asses. This project is phenomenal, now if you ever enter a discussion about the St.Louis music scene in the last 10 years you’d probably hear Van’s name repeatedly. He’s worked with a lot of producers/artist a lot of us only dream about! I’ll drop one name and one name only, and if it doesn’t make you cop this album then you aint shit….9th Wonder! Man I remember being a fan of Van’s back when I was in like 9th grade snuck into one of his shows and shit..ha This is one of the guys who really jogged my enthusiasm on how far I could go with music if I worked hard enough. You owe this to your granny, brother, and that ring around your tub to check out Megatron Majorz Redux. Not only am I happy to see one of my bros shinning, after being released on iTunes this week the album has already hit the hip-hop charts surpassing some of your favorite artist! So do yourself a favor and put this on that raggedy ass iPod of yours! Get Megatron Majorz Redux [HERE] or stream the tape live right [HERE]

(Shouts to the Monarchs for these visuals)

(Shouts to Ryan for these visuals)

My homies A1O(A-1-Oh) have been grinding super hard since we were in Jr. high. Secretly back in the day I hated them all, because they always had flocks of women around them. Composed of three members Sincear, Drew, and J.City, A10 looks to be among the city’s rising groups. Personally I think they’ve already set a few standards around this town. These cats were making videos and maintaining a crazy fan base before a lot of today’s artist learned how to make noodles on the stove. Elevated, A1O’s breakout mixtape is available for download [HERE]. Sidenote: Unfortunately I’m not featured on this project, buuuut there’s always next time right yall…(Side-eye)

I’m sure by now if your a frequent visitor of LCU, your familiar with Souls of Liberty and our collaborative efforts. However these potent lyricists have dropped their long awaited project Carpe Diem which not to mention they’ve done tons of visuals for. I was granted the opportunity of sitting in on many sessions, collaborating on a few joints, and watching these guys rise! They work harder than hard, so you probably owe it to yourself to pick up the project. The production done by Klevah is incredible!!! The Souls were also recently featured on the notorious World Star Hip Hop site for their visuals to their track entitled “Chosen“! Check out Carpe Diem [HERE]

26 Hours…

These past few weeks have been hectic I promise I’ll blog soon…School’s in session so that puts a strain on time even more..If congress can pass a bill changing day light savings, do you ever wonder why they won’t extend the day? Man what I wouldn’t do for just one more hour! Not to mention I’m currently blogging via my phone, because I’m off to the glorious plantation! Yaaaay life…phssss

This is usually what my diet looks like nowadays…

@NatoCaliph Ft. Myself – Her [Video] | Directed By @AztechFilm

A while back I posted the behind the scenes footage for this video and now I’d like to present Nato Caliph’s Her Ft. Myself. The visuals came out beautiful for this one it actually reminds me of a short film! Once again shouts to Joe Lombardi over at Aztech Productions for the flawless direction of this video. Enough of my joyous ranting, click play above and enjoy! #TheForce

The Underground Welcomes You | @StlFamilyAffair

The great thing about being apart of The Force is that I’m united with some of the best artist around St.Louis! When I first came across these guys this past winter I went nuts, because the sound they bring to the table is nearly unheard of here. Brothers QB and Rep have aligned to form the super group Family Affair. First off these two are actual brothers if you couldn’t tell from their identical features. Which makes their music all the more special, because the chemistry is so natural it’s ridiculous! Family Affair has been on the scene here in St.Louis for a few years now heating things up.

If you like OutKast or Bone Thugs n Harmony this is the group for you as it’s a mesh between the best of both worlds! Along with the visuals you see above Family Affair has released their long awaited project Welcome to the Underground via iTunes and Reverb Nation! Pick that up, and don’t complain about the price because you probably spend 10 bucks on the dollar menu at McDonalds! Plus I heard it’s low in fat and highly nutritional so go ahead and make your purchase. #TheForce

Picking Mail at the Plantation…

One thing I’ve always prided myself on as an artist is having an open relationship with you all. I don’t believe in playing down the reality of the actual life I live like most artist. You know the ones who say they drive benz’s, but secretly drive a Ford Focus and clock in daily at Burger KIng. Well I never wanted to be “that” artist I feel the honesty in my music is what bonds you all and myself together. Do I have dreams of driving those cars, living in those homes, and taking those trips…sure I do but when I start to speak of those it’ll actually be in existence.

So to any of you who have been wondering where I’ve been residing or should I say hiding out at it’s been work. To make money it takes money so I recently started working for the United States Postal Service. The job entails sorting mail that goes out to various regions of the country. Now you probably thought to yourself sorting mail piece by piece is boring right? Contrary to most people’s beliefs we have huge machines that take care of all of that. The only thing I do is scan a barcode and place the bin in it’s respective container easy enough right… Well doing this for 10 hours can get very very strenuous and break your body down! However the pay will probably make you forget about all of that haha.

The thing that sucks the most about working is you miss so much, especially when your life was busy before hand. I’ve got a few collaborations that are past due and my own project that’s still in the works. Will it get done…YES, no doubt this to me is how a champion is bread! As if things couldn’t get any busier my classes start this Saturday. So to anyone that I owe work to I’m super sorry and will be getting that to you shortly! To the rest of you I say the countdown begins as we wait to see how long it takes for me to “Get Drafted.” I’m debating on setting up a new tab that’ll highlight week by week everything that went on at work. Things are so hilarious around there that it’ll probably have to be blogged about!

Honesty is the key…

MadeMonarchs.com x Bryant Stewart | Homemade[Video]

As promised I linked up with the good folks over at Made Monarchs to get some quick visuals for Homemade. When Adrian calls I know it can only mean work or he’s harassing me about one of their events haha j/k. But when he said he wanted to capture some visuals for Homemade I was more than elated! This should hold you guys over until later this month. I’ll be dropping some more visuals this month for tracks off of Not Quite There. Also be on the lookout for the Nato Caliph Her video ft. myself to drop pretty soon!

Editing done by Skip as well, thanks bro!

Everything People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not [Video] | @Gerald_Walker

My homie Gerald Walker adds some very creative visuals to his track entitled Everything People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not. This is super iLL to me and I’m sure anyone who enjoys animation or art in general will love this one here!
